Lose Weight Fast for Men

Men and Women have completely different challenges when it comes to weight loss and that’s why I’ve created this page specifically for men.  Before I get started and give you the run down on the quickest and easiest way for men to lose weight, it’s important to understand one thing… Weight Loss for Men is the new marketing cash cow. I mean to say that historically women have been the target for the unrealistic claims by weight loss guru’s and purveyors of products because historically men didn’t need to look good… they ruled the world.  Now, marketers have tapped into this market with a vengeance.  Fortunately, as different as men are from women, there is one universal truth:

Try These Three Steps

The effectiveness and speed with which the following systems and processes will help you lose weight or convert body fat to muscle is influenced by your age.  However in general several adding any combination of the following to your regular schedule will activate change.

  1. Eat Whole Foods.  That means, just because the box says Fruit Loops doesn’t put it in the Fruits/Vegetable category.  Seriously, consider eating foods that are farm fresh or exclusively in the fresh sections of your grocery.  Avoid pre-packaged microwaveable meals and snacks as they are filled with tons of extra crap. Whether they say low carb, low fat, low calories or not… avoid them.
  2. Create Sustainable Exercise.  Sustainability is the key, forcing yourself to wake up at 4am to go for a jog is great if you enjoy it, and if after 1 week you haven’t created the feeling of a “habit” it’s time to modify it slightly or dramatically in a way that helps you create sustainable exercise. Perhaps jogging in the evening is better, or taking a 45 minute break from the office to go for a brisk walk or run to the gym.  You are the only person that can create a habit.
  3. Intentional Thinking.  The truth about your weight and most other aspects of your life is that you are on auto-pilot. You are living through a series of habits of activity that have been created and cemented into your life over the years.  In many cases there was a time when this habit served to keep you safe, and now it is only keeping you from great things.  Setting the intention to “think” before you eat anything is the first step to changing your eating habits which is the first step to changing your results.  Thoughts drives your actions, and your actions creating your results.

LISTEN! If you keep doing the same thing, you will keep getting the same results.

The gym is great, if you go.

Diet’s are great, if you stick to them.

Your body is telling you something with every ache and pain and maybe, just maybe it’s time to decide to do something a little different.  Maybe it’s time to think outside the box and try something that isn’t in your normal toolbox of go – to answers for weight loss.
