3 Week Diet – Why Mainstream Medicine has it all Wrong

Recently I read this press release and it completely changed how I thought about my weight.  I learned that everything I thought I KNEW about health, wellness and maintaining a healthy weight wasn’t necessarily true!  In fact, the only weight most people lose when they listen to the weightloss guru’s is the weight of the money leaving their pockets!

  1. Many are dealing with weight problems. People should be careful with what they are doing to their body. I don’t believe everything in the article you found. In today’s world eating less doesn’t mean eating less actual food but eating less junk. Stop eating McDonalds, Donuts and stop drinking Cola and eat more greens and prepare your own meat. Further exercising does help and you will get results if you are consistent. The problem with the 3 week diets is that people follow them and may lose weight but after stopping with the diet they gain the weight again. It’s a matter of changing your eating habits and exercising.

    1. I wish it was as simple as you say for everyone. Very often we think because something is true for me… it must be true for everyone, we all have our challenges. One of the greatest struggles in the United States is fighting a constant feeling of lack. Lack of resources, Lack of Time, Lack of Money, Lack of options. The culture of Fast Food caters to that feeling of lack of time… and the false claims of Fast Food have Healthy Optionsis designed to persuade people to give in to the rush rush of their fast paced lives. If we’re going to talk about something that will ALWAYS work for EVERYONE… then we need to be honest and understand it’s INTENTION. There is no amount of greens or self prepared meat that will heal a broken body without first being mindfully intent on that healing. I appreciate your comments

  2. I have been cutting carbs and sugar in my diet from past 2 months, I can’t say it is doing well but still okay. I know that hormones play a big role in regulating our weight, I had a friend who used to eat twice as me and since we were roommates, we used to have the same food, but I am twice his weight and it has always been the same, so I agree with this report and I am going to consider this 3 week diet, thank you for the information!

    1. Recently I have had a great deal of success by cutting sugar. NOT JUST regular sweet sugar, but also the carbs that turn into sugar and the dairy that turns into sugar. If you read the nutritional label of anything (even things that aren’t sweet) under Carbohydrates there will be a “sugars” listing in grams. I found it much easier to lose weight by limiting my grams of sugar a day. No counting calories or fat, just sugar grams.

  3. Ahhhhh! I am one of those people who has had a lifelong battle with her weight, and weight loss is something that I struggle with literally on a daily basis. I am always trying new fad diets, and have spent a lot of money trying to find the best way to lose the weight fast! I can attest to the fact that “eating less and exercising more” is the fastest way for someone like me to quit and give up on anything they were in the process of trying. I have thought to myself time and time again that this is not the way I am supposed to feel and there has to be a way to achieve this goal without feeling so awful. I am not looking for a quick fix, but certainly something that doesn’t make me completely miserable in the meantime. Thank you for sharing this information and this plan. This is a different approach and honestly addressed all of the frustrations that some of us trying to lose weight have been struggling with for as long as we can remember.
